Fire, Water, Air, and Light

Fire

Heat and fire are highly valued in the chalets. Each house is equipped with a wood stove, and the firewood comes from the surrounding forests, providing warmth and coziness. The element of warmth is also found in the sauna and the hot tub, with a view of the lake.

Water

The water from the Steinbach Reservoir, which serves as an important water reservoir for the city utilities of Idar-Oberstein, flows through the showers in the bathroom and into the hot tub. The water is very soft and of the highest quality. In the kitchen, you can tap carbonated Steinbach Lake water, so you don’t need to buy bottled water during your stay.

Air

The chalets speak for themselves when it comes to scent and air. A log house offers a completely unique atmosphere. You open the door and immediately breathe in the fresh, pleasant air of a log house. The wooden windows also contribute to a great indoor climate. Natural materials were used during construction, with sheep wool serving as insulation between the logs. Not only inside the house but also outside, the air quality is exceptional, as the region is considered one of the areas with the best air quality in all of Germany, according to the Focus Air Atlas.

Light

With large windows and the house's orientation, the sun shines onto the Steinbach See Village. On sunny days, you can enjoy plenty of sunshine on the terrace and/or balconies. A lighting concept ensures exceptional lighting both inside and outside.
